Life Story

Hi everyone welcome to my blog I am a self employed bookkeeper, computer trainer who is also passionate about the English Shire Horse sometimes referred to as Gentle Giants.  I throughly enjoy working with individuals and teaching them how to use the computer to open up another world for them.  Anything from using an accounting program, to internet training and email etc.  It is a delight to work with with people who feel that the schools have left them behind, as they did not come up to their standards.  My other love is another giant albeit not as big as my Shires, but nevertheless a real softie and extremely intelligent the Irish Wolfhound.

My interests are very varied anything from taking long walks, reading, music and lately learning new things in how to work smarter and not harder using the flexibility of the internet.  In my spare time I can usually be found out in the paddock training and working with Young Michael at the moment who at 10 weeks old is my first born Shire Foal.

I was in the past actually involved in the tourism arena in Kalgoorlie, Esperance and until very recently York when you would have seen us out on the streets as a tourist attraction, providing a wagon for town rides, birthday parties etc.. In addition I also had a stunning Landau Wedding Carriage and was directly involved in providing the Fairy Tale dream for a few weddings.

All the training of my working horses in and to harness was completed by myself and my partner a very intelligent Clydesdale called “Michael” with his help he helped me train all the youngsters and he did a great job.  Young Michael has been named in honour of my big boy who I sadly lost late last year.

Now a new phase of my life starts with my returning home and I have big plans to bring my passion for these horses to life in a bigger way than I have to date.   Watch this blog for progress reports over the coming months and enjoy!
